Students Back to School

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—I thank the school communities in my electorate of North Shore for how they have managed to maintain a positive learning environment for our kids. We know that ensuring our kids get the best start in life through education is so important, and the COVID-19 pandemic has put an enormous amount of stress on our principals, teachers, students and their families. It is heartening to see that schools across the State have welcomed students back for face-to-face learning full time. There is no better learning environment than in the classroom and I know there was lots of joy and excitement at schools as friends reunited, and teachers were able to have their students back in the classroom. I especially would like to thank all the Principals, teachers and staff at schools across North Shore who have shown great resilience during this difficult time, ensuring that the learning needs of their students always comes first. I would also like to thank all the students and their families for assisting schools in learning from home, and during the staged approach of returning to schools.
