Recognising David Brady from Hear for You

—I would like to recognise David Brady who recently concluded a successful eight years as the CEO of Hear For You. Hear For You is a not-for-profit charity that provides programs, workshops, and support for deaf and hard of hearing young people and students. David has commenced a new role as Director of Advocacy and Engagement with the Shepherd Centre, after the successful integration of Hear For You into the same organisation. The combined team are realising the greater potential for all children with hearing loss from birth to the time they enter the workforce. As Chair of the Parliamentary Friends of Hearing Health and Deafness I have worked closely with David and Hear For You, conducting hearing tests for members of Parliament, and wearing dosimeters in the chamber to record the level of sound during question time. I thank David for his contributions and assistance in raising awareness of deafness and hearing health in Parliament. I congratulate David on his new role and the successful merger of Hear For You and the Shepherd Centre, and look forward to continuing to work together to assist young deaf and hard of hearing kids.
