Ensemble Theatre to Produce the Play 'a Letter for Molly'

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—I congratulate the Kirribilli Ensemble Theatre for their successful application to secure funds through Round 1 of Create NSW's 2021/22 Arts and Culture Funding Program. This funding will allow the theatre to produce the play 'A Letter for Molly' by emerging Gumbayngirr playwright Brittanie Shipway. Ensemble Theatre, founded in 1958, is a much-loved theatre by many in my North Shore electorate, including myself. They are committed to performing and presenting the best international plays, well-loved classics and new Australian works. They aim to stimulate conversation and enliven our imaginations. After a long time away from the theatre during the lockdown, it is exciting to see a new play in the works from the longest continuously running professional theatre in Australia. I wish all the best to the Ensemble Theatre with 'A Letter for Molly', and I am very excited to see the final result of hard work and dedication from all involved. The play will begin showing from May 2022.
