Crows Nest Centre Christmas Hamper Appeal

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—Speaker, I recognise the Crows Nest Centre for harnessing the goodwill and generosity of the people of my local community for this year's Christmas Hamper Appeal. The Christmas hamper appeal is all about giving Christmas cheer to those who are isolated, unwell, ageing, or living with a disability. The last two years have been particularly tough on the vulnerable in our community. Organisations like Crows Nest Centre undertake caring and compassionate work and provide a place of safety and security for people experiencing difficulties. The community have been dropping off various items, including jams, jars of honey, chocolates, and biscuits. The donations are just another example of the generosity of my local North Shore community. Thank you to all the organisers and volunteers for running this appeal to bring light and joy to people's lives. The work of Crows Nest Centre is remarkable and reflects their vision of a connected community. Congratulations to Denise Ward, Chair Dr Christopher Scarf, and the board for this successful Christmas Hamper Appeal.
