Funding to Fix St Luke's Church Roof, Gutter, and Downpipes

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—Speaker, I recognise St Luke's Church in Mosman for securing funding through the Community Building Partnership program 2021. The successful application through the Anglican Church Property Trust of Sydney will assist in repairing the St Luke's Church roof, downpipes, and guttering. St Luke's Church Mosman has a long and rich history, serving the community for over 120 years. The Church holds regular Sunday services, which bring people from the community together to participate in the services while meeting new people. St Luke's Church is a significantly older building that suffered through a storm in February 2020, which saw severe water damage to the Fincham pipe organ. The repairs to the roof, downpipes, and guttering will help to prevent future damages during weather events. Congratulations to the Rector, Reverend Dr Max Wood, the Rector's Warden Paula Turner, and the St Luke's community for securing this well‑deserved funding. I wish the Church community all the best with the repairs and a peaceful and joyous festive season and New Year.
