Middle Harbour Public School Christmas Donations

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—Speaker I wish to recognise the spirit and generosity shown by the Middle Harbour Public School community for their contributions to the Christmas appeal that supports Dalwood Spilstead Early Intervention and Support Services. Dalwood is a collaborative project between the Northern Sydney Local health District and the Spilstead Charitable Trust which provides essential services to families and at-risk children. The school community provided numerous gifts in 2021 to bring the Christmas spirit to children of all ages, who often go without during this time of the year. Gifts such as puzzles, musical toys, science games, construction, and craft kits were donated to the cause. Items collected for the hampers provided families at the centre with comfort and food to help them through the busy and stressful time of the year. A wide range of goods were collected for the hampers including toiletries, non-perishable foods, celebration foods, and Christmas decorations. Thank you to Principal Laura Barry and Deputy Principal Carol Jaye for organising this successful appeal. I extend my thanks to the entire Middle Harbour School community for their generous contributions which helped support vulnerable families and children in our local area.
