North Sydney RSL Sub-Branch
Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore) (15:26:41):
I congratulate North Sydney RSL sub‑Branch, which received funding through the New South Wales Government's Anzac Community Grants Program. North Sydney RSL received $1,000 to go towards its Veterans' Health Week 10 Day Movement Challenge, which aims to bridge the gap for veterans in hospital or other health clinics who are unable to attend the usual Veterans' Health Week activities. The RSL vision is to provide a program of 10 activities over 10 days that a hospital or clinic team can easily facilitate. Activities include yoga, swimming, sailing and more. I thank president Alex Wilson, vice‑president Geoff Watson and their entire team for organising this great program. The annual Veterans' Health Week provides vital physical, social, and mental benefits to our veterans. Our local RSLs run a number of activities such as the waterside walk and luncheon hosted by Kirribilli RSL sub‑Branch in November. I thank all of our local RSLs for their important work for our veterans and for the wider community. I also thank all of our local service men and women, past and present, for their sacrifice for our country.
