Interschools Snowsports

I congratulate all the North Shore schools that recently competed in the Interschools Snowsports Championships held at Perisher this year. I especially congratulate the amazing girls at Wenona School who competed at a national level and absolutely dominated. Wenona School won the coveted Secondary Female Champion School award for the second year in a row. The Wenona School students achieved four gold medals, three silver medals and two bronze medals, with 15 teams finishing in the top 10, and 10 individual top 10 performances. I give a big congratulations to Mosman Preparatory School on its outstanding results at a State level. The Mosman Preparatory School boys achieved fourth place, putting the school among the top primary schools in the State, with all eight of its athletes having qualified for the national championships. Finally, I congratulate North Sydney Boys High School student Paulson, who came fourth in the finals of the Division 1 Male Slopestyle Ski event at the NSW/ACT/QLD State Interschools Snowsport Championships. I congratulate all of the schools involved and all of the students who competed—what amazing accomplishments all round.
