United Nations Day Gala Dinner

—I want to acknowledge the incredible work of the United Nations Association of Australia NSW Division in organising a magnificent United Nations Day Gala Dinner here at the NSW Parliament. The event commemorated the 79th anniversary of the official creation of the United Nations. The United Nations Association of Australia aims to inform, inspire, and engage Australians in the work, goals, and values of the United Nations. Through its efforts, the UNAA encourages us to contribute to building a fairer, more sustainable world. The theme of the evening was Peace and Security, a focus that could not be more timely or relevant. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the United Nations Association of Australia NSW Division for the effort they poured into making the gala dinner such a successful event. I want to especially thank and acknowledge Dr Patricia Jenkings, President of UNAA New South Wales Division. She is an impressive and dedicated woman, and the effort she puts into the organisation is nothing short of herculean. Thank you, United Nations Association of Australia, the organisers, and all of you for your continued dedication to building a better world.
