Wenona Student to Perform In Annie the Musical
Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)
—I want to congratulate eleven-year-old Wenona student Skye Spiden, who was recently cast in the upcoming Australian production of Annie the musical. Wenona is renowned for nurturing exceptional talent in the performing arts, and Skye's casting is a perfect reflection of this reputation. She will be taking on the role of 'Friday', one of the orphans in Miss Hannigan's orphanage, and will be performing in some of the musical's most iconic numbers, including 'It's a Hard-Knock Life." Skye was selected from hundreds of hopeful applicants, and will share the role with three other talented performers. What an incredible achievement. It's no surprise to hear that Wenona's staff are being incredibly supportive of Skye's opportunity, working alongside Skye and her family to ensure her academic commitments are balanced with this exciting opportunity. The Wenona School community is truly one of support and collaboration. I commend the teaching staff on their dedication to helping students reach their potential. I can't wait to see where Skye's musical career takes her, and I wish her every success in her role as Friday in the upcoming Musical. Congratulations Skye, and good luck!
