International Women's Day

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore) (20:56:41):

In recognition of the recent International Women's' Day, I acknowledge the remarkable women who have shaped, and who continue to shape, the North Shore community. Their leadership, resilience, and dedication continue to drive positive change. International Women's Day is celebrated on 8 March. It presents an opportunity to recognise some of the remarkable achievements of women and their invaluable contributions to society. My community of North Shore has a very proud history of strong, capable women who make a significant impact across the fields of business, health, education, politics, the arts, community service and raising their families. My predecessor, Jillian Skinner, was an incredibly strong woman who was dedicated to both our community and our State. Our local mayors, Federal members, and business chamber and chamber of commerce presidents are all talented and capable women. We are also fortunate to have many inspiring female school principals, business leaders and volunteers, who uplift our community and encourage younger women to fulfil their potential. Women continue to lead, guide and support others with compassion and strength across the North Shore. I thank all of the incredible women in our community, whether they are leading, mentoring, advocating, supporting others or caring for their family, for all they do behind the scenes and in the spotlight.
