Head High Tea and Scone Society

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—I recognise the incredible work of Head High Disability Service on their launch of the Pop-Up High Tea at Allan Border Oval Pavilion. This initiative, which will run for the duration of March, offers a tearoom experience and provides young adults from Head High an opportunity to showcase their skills in a supportive and inclusive environment. With live music, freshly baked scones, and homemade cakes, the pop-up provides a welcoming experience for all who attend. 50 percent of all profits will be donated to the Humpty Dumpty Foundation, supporting childrens' hospitals and health services across Australia. The High Tea is a wonderful example of how local initiatives can bring people together, foster inclusion and celebrate talents of the community. I commend Julia Ross-Edwards and the entire Head High team for their dedication to empowering young adults with intellectual, neurological, and other disabilities. This pop-up tearoom and other initiatives of Head High help build confidence, independence and connection for young adults. Finally, I warmly congratulate the Head Highers themselves and thank them for their wonderful service and friendly smiles. Their service made the High Tea experience so exceptional.
