Mosman Public and Mosman High Clean Up Australia
Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)
—I want to recognise the incredible efforts of the students from Mosman Primary School and Mosman High School who came together for a Schools Clean Up Day for this year's Clean Up Australia Day. Held at Balmoral to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Clean Up Australia Day, this initiative saw young people take meaningful action to protect their local environment. The event was hosted by Mosman Council, Clean Up Australia, and the Green Schools collective, and gave students the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and engage in hands on learning. The 2024 campaign alone collected an estimated 140,000 bags of litter nationwide, highlighting both the scale of our waste problem and the power of community‑led action. I thank Mosman Public and Mosman High for their dedication to the green initiatives and for always looking for opportunities to give back to our community. I commend the students, educators, and organisers at Mosman High and Mosman Public for their leadership in protecting our local environment. Their dedication to sustainability and community action is truly inspiring. I thank them for their efforts in keeping North Shore's beautiful beaches and waterways clean for future generations.
