Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)
—I want to recognise the vital work of Taldumande Youth Services in the lower north shore and the greater Sydney community. Established in 1976, Taldumande has been a beacon of hope and support for vulnerable and homeless children and young people aged 12 to 24 and their families. Their services range from homelessness and family support to justice services and outreach programs. Taldumande is also home to the Phoenix Youth Hub, a dedicated community centre that provides a safe and nurturing environment for young people in the North Shore community. Phoenix Youth Hub offers a diverse range of programs, including case management, life skills development, employment readiness, and educational support. At the opening of their new hub, I had the privilege of speaking with a participant who shared how supportive the program has been. She expressed that it inspired her to become a social worker herself when she finishes. I commend the entire team at Taldumande Youth Services, including their passionate staff and volunteers, for their ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable youth. Their work is essential in ensuring that every young person in our community has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Thank you Taldumande.
