—I want to recognise the incredible work of Sydney By Kayak, Director and Founder, Laura Stone and co-founder, Benjamin Pike, who have once again shown what sustainability in action looks like. In collaboration with Reshaping Waste, they have now launched Eco Hub—a project built with heart, purpose, and a commitment to community and the environment, located in McMahon's Point. From salvaging beautiful old hardwood floorboards to reimagining how to build and use spaces, this initiative champions circular economy principles and local ingenuity. More than just a physical space, the Eco Hub is a platform for education, awareness, and connection, showing how small businesses can lead the way in waste reduction and climate-conscious action. With the launch party taking place yesterday evening, I sadly could not attend as I was in Parliament, but I encourage locals and sustainability advocates to support this milestone. Thank you to Laura, Benjamin, and all of the Sydney By Kayak team for continuing to inspire others to think creatively and act responsibly. Your vision is shaping a more sustainable Sydney for us all.
