Debating Society at St Aloysius School

—I recognise the exceptional achievements of the Debating Society at St Aloysius School whose students have demonstrated remarkable skill, confidence, and critical thinking across multiple recent competitions. In the Independent Schools Debating Association Octo-Finals, Round 1, four teams from the school—Year 7, Year 9, Senior B, and Senior A—secured impressive wins, progressing to the next stage. I also want to commend the Year 8 team, who debated with great poise and preparation despite a narrow loss. In the Debating Competition quarter-finals, Year 10 and Senior B teams delivered strong performances to advance to the semi-finals. While Year 7B and Year 9 teams were narrowly defeated, their efforts and commitment reflect the strength of the school's debating program. The school also performed brilliantly in Round 2 of the Lower North Shore Debating Competition. Victories were recorded by teams 7B, 8A, 8B, 9A, and 9B — an incredible outcome across so many year levels. I extend my warmest congratulations to all students and staff involved. Your hard work, teamwork, and dedication to excellence in debating are a credit to your school and our community. I wish you continued success in the rounds ahead.
