GWS Giants First Nations Round
Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)
—I recognise the GWS Giants and their ongoing commitment to honouring and celebrating First Nations peoples through the AFL's annual First Nations Round. The Giants' First Nations Round is a powerful reminder of the enduring cultural strength, resilience, and contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples both within the AFL and across our communities. It is an opportunity to reflect on the rich history of the land we live, work, and play on, and to stand in solidarity with First Nations communities in the spirit of respect, reconciliation, and shared pride. Their ongoing custodianship and cultural knowledge continue to shape our local identity and remind us of the importance of listening, learning, and walking together toward a more inclusive and respectful future. It is a privilege to stand alongside them in recognising the past, celebrating the present, and committing to a stronger, more inclusive future for all. We commend the GWS Giants for their leadership in championing First Nations voices and using the platform of sport to unite, educate, and inspire.
