Local Talent Shines As Parliament Celebrates 2025 NRLW Season

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—I recognise the 2025 NRLW Season Celebration at NSW Parliament. This special event honoured the continued growth and success of women’s rugby league – one of the fastest growing sports in Australia. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring some of our local talent and hardworking club officials to be part of the celebrations, meet key NRL stakeholders and connect with fellow champions of the women’s game. The junior squad from the North Sydney Bears, including, Milla, Elodie, Elaina, Georgina and Maddie, represent the future of the sport. These young women demonstrate remarkable skill, determination, and pride in their game. The North Sydney Bears CEO Gareth Holmes, continues to play a vital role in nurturing female participation and creating pathways for women to thrive in league, both on and off the field. On show was the evolution of just how far the women’s game has come and how bright the future looks. Congratulations to all involved in making the 2025 NRLW season one to celebrate!
