Congratulations 1st Balmoral Group on North Shore's First King's Scouts In 73 Years

—I congratulate Oliver Gibbons and William Raymond from the 1st Balmoral Scout Group on receiving the prestigious King’s Scout Award, the highest honour a Venturer Scout in Australia can achieve. I had the pleasure of attending the ceremony at Balmoral Scout Hall, where these two exceptional young men were the first King’s Scouts to be awarded by the group in 73 years. The King’s Scout Award, recently renamed in honour of His Majesty King Charles III, represents years of commitment, resilience, leadership, and service. Taking three to four years to complete, it includes demanding outdoor adventure, leadership training and personal development. Oliver and William exemplify Scouting values – perseverance, courage, and community service. This award reflects their dedication not only to personal growth but to making a meaningful contribution to those around them. Their achievement is a moment of pride not only for their families and the 1st Balmoral Scout Group but for our entire North Shore community. Congratulations again, Oli and Will – your efforts and example are truly inspiring. I commend you on this remarkable milestone and wish you every success ahead!
