Celebrating Education Week 2025

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—Education Week 2025 invites us all to reflect on the power of public education to ignite your potential. From 4-8 August, we celebrate the strength, diversity and excellence of our NSW public schools – and especially here in the North Shore, we see that potential sparked every day in our classrooms. This year's theme 'Ignite Your Potential' captures the heart of what education is about: lighting the spark in every student, nurturing curiosity, building confidence, and encouraging each young person to dream big and achieve more than they thought possible. I recognise public schools in my electorate such as Neutral Bay Public School, Mosman Public School, Beauty Point Public School, North Sydney Demonstration School, Middle Harbour Public, Mosman High School, North Sydney Boys High School, North Sydney Girls High School and Cammeraygal High School. These local schools are proudly opening their doors to showcase how they ignite potential in every learner – from creative early learning environments to innovative high school programs. To our dedicated teachers and school staff: thank you for the passion, care and commitment you bring to every student's journey. To our students: keep exploring, keep striving, and keep discovering what's possible.
