I highlight the work of Gina and Colin Petitt, who have been running the Dymocks bookstore on Military Road, Neutral Bay, for six years. Sadly, the popular local bookstore is set to close its doors for good on 12 October. The closure of Neutral Bay's Dymocks bookstore will come as a huge disappointment to our entire community, particularly to the students and families who have used it over the years to access literature, author signings, book releases and the magic of reading. Gina and Colin have a genuine love of books, and they shared it with all of us—young and old. Gina and Colin have said that they are forever grateful for the community's loyalty and will miss the friendships and connections they made along the way. We will miss them too. On behalf of the community, I thank Gina and Colin and offer them the very best for their next adventure. I encourage all book lovers to visit Gina and Colin one last time before Dymocks closes to thank them for contributing to our community and to help them move on the rest of their stock before they close their doors.
