New Season Starts for Middle Harbour Yacht Club

—Congratulations to Middle Harbour Yacht Club as the start of the sailing season begins. With a membership of over 900, Middle Harbour Yacht Club is one of Australia's largest yacht clubs and recognised as a national leader in sail training and associated education. Supporting the entire spectrum of sailing through from the Australian Olympic Team to Sydney to Hobart racers, cruising yachts, to Sailability and learning to sail, Middle Harbour Yacht Club is a true community club. It was an extra-special start to the season with the club launching a new start boat which I helped name Legacy after providing funding support, supplemented by charitable and member donations. Legacy replaced the long-serving Hugh George. Legacy was christened in a special sea-sailing ceremony, and it was a privilege to join yacht club officials to celebrate the new vessel. Well done to club Commodore Rob Aldis, along with Chief Executive Andrew Forbes, on securing Legacy and for hosting this special season opening.
