A New Scoreboard for Mosman Cricket Club

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—Congratulations to Mosman Cricket Club on the launch of their new LED cricketing scoreboard, replacing their old manual board. I was thrilled to inaugurate the new scoreboard at the Allan Border Oval on the first day of the new cricket season in September as Mosman squared off against North Sydney. I was pleased to have helped secure $50,000 in grant funding towards the purchase of the new scoreboard, and many thanks to President, John Wallace, and General Manager, Warwick Adlam, for inviting me along for the unveiling. The scoreboard has been named after Ben Salmon who played for Mosman in their glory years, winning four 1st Grade Premierships in the 1930s and captaining two of those Premierships, and was named in the club's Team of the Century in 2008. Mosman Cricket Club is a first-rate community club that is highly successful and respected, and I'm so pleased that the team's fans can now enjoy this piece of cutting‑edge technology as they watch matches. With the cricket season now well underway, I'm hoping plenty of runs will appear on the new Ben Salmon scoreboard for Mosman over the coming months.
