Frocktober

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore) (00:54:17):

This month we celebrate Frocktober, a beautiful fundraising initiative led by the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation that Australians across the country come together to support. Participants wear a dress each day of the month to raise awareness and funds for vital ovarian cancer research. Ovarian cancer is one of the deadliest women's cancers, often diagnosed too late due to the lack of early detection methods. Frocktober is not only a fun and creative way to get involved but also a powerful campaign with a serious purpose: improving survival rates and outcomes for women through scientific advancement. I especially acknowledge Vanja, a courageous ovarian cancer survivor who shared her moving story with members of Parliament at the recent Women's Health Forum. Her journey of resilience and hope is a powerful reminder about why this cause matters so deeply to all. I congratulate all the men, women and families embracing Frocktober 2025. Their colourful contributions are helping to change the future of women's health in Australia.
