Thanking Denise Ward for Her Service

—I would like to pay tribute to Denise Ward as she steps down from her role as Executive Officer at the Crows Nest Centre in November, having served in the position for an amazing 14 years. Before joining the centre, Denise worked in a wide range of government and non-government roles in the ageing and disability sector, and she has always shown a steadfast commitment to helping the most vulnerable in my dealings with her. The Crows Nest Centre is a crucial organisation for assisting older people, the disabled, carers, and those struggling with homelessness. Under Denise's leadership, the Crows Nest Centre has carried out life-changing work for its service users; this has included providing meals on wheels, linen services, assisted transport, home help and counselling services. I know many in our community will be sad that Denise is leaving the centre, but we are also excited for her as she embarks on another challenge.
