Balmoral Nippers

—I recognise Balmoral Nippers, a community volunteer‑led program that is enjoyed by many families of our local community, including my own. Since its establishment in 1995, Balmoral Nippers has been run by the dedicated volunteers of the Balmoral Beach Club. This program provides children with vital surf safety skills while fostering teamwork and a strong sense of community. Each summer, families gather on the sands of Balmoral Beach to participate in a program that nurtures confidence, fitness, and respect for our waterways. I want to acknowledge the work of the volunteer committee under the leadership of Will Hughes, Toby Ellis, Alex Rabbetts, Melanie Vandervoot, Meagan Schlect, Peter Barber and Al Robertson. Their dedication, along with more than 90 incredible volunteers from age managers and water safety officers to supportive parents ensures the ongoing success of this much-loved program. A special thanks goes to Annie Margossian Kenny, for her three years of dedicated leadership. Balmoral Nippers is more than a surf education program. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Balmoral Nippers, its volunteers, and the Balmoral Beach Club for their enduring service and invaluable contribution to our community.
