Walk for A Bloke

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—I acknowledge the important work of Spoke to a Bloke and the growing impact of its annual Walk for a Bloke, an initiative dedicated to raising awareness and support for men's mental health. What began as a small gathering has grown into a powerful movement, bringing together thousands of men to walk side by side and encourage open conversations about mental health. The event was founded by Scott Osborne, alongside Matt Osborne and Paul Osborne, following the tragic loss of their close friend Nick in 2021. Their mission is simple but vital: to remind men that they are not alone and that speaking openly can be the first step toward seeking help. Events like Walk for a Bloke play an important role in strengthening community connection and encouraging men to speak up, seek support and look out for one another. Since 2019, Walk for a Bloke has gone worldwide, with 30 walks planned this year. I commend the organisers, volunteers and participants for their commitment to this vital cause and for the difference they are making in communities across Australia.
