—I recognise the outstanding work of Studio A in St Leonards, an organisation that is transforming opportunities for artists with intellectual disability. Founded by Gabrielle Mordy, Studio A was created to address the limited professional pathways historically available to artists with intellectual disability. Today, it provides artists with education, professional development and opportunities to build sustainable creative careers. I had the pleasure of visiting Studio A on the International Day of People with Disability, where I was able to meet some of the talented artists and see firsthand the creativity and energy that fills the studio. It is always a joy to visit and witness the incredible artwork being produced, and the pride and passion the artists bring to their craft. Studio A artists have achieved remarkable success, with their work exhibited across the mainstream arts sector and featured in major institutions including the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Among the artists making an impact is Catherine McGuinness, whose vibrant and imaginative artworks have earned national recognition, including selection as a finalist in the Archibald Prize. I commend Studio A for championing inclusion, creativity and opportunity in the arts.
