Gareth Holmes at the North Sydney Bears

—Today I recognise the outstanding contribution of Gareth Holmes, who is stepping down as Chief Executive Officer of the North Sydney Bears after five years of dedicated service. Gareth has led the Bears through a transformative period, strengthening the club on and off the field. Under his leadership, membership and commercial partnerships have grown, community engagement has expanded, and the club has continued to achieve success in the NSW Cup while investing in junior pathways. Throughout his tenure, Gareth has led with integrity and a deep commitment to the Bears' members, volunteers, staff, sponsors and supporters. His leadership has helped ensure the North Sydney Bears remain a proud sporting institution and an important part of the North Shore community. As Gareth takes on the role of General Manager of Football with the Perth Bears, I thank him for his dedicated service to the North Sydney Bears and congratulate him on this exciting next chapter. On behalf of the people of the North Shore, I wish Gareth and his family every success and thank him for the lasting legacy he leaves for the Bears and our community.
