The Minns Labor Government has handed down its first budget, revealing that this is the same old Labor with no new vision, instead delivering cuts to crucial infrastructure projects and cost of living support relied upon by families in order to offset the Government’s union wage deals.
Member for North Shore Felicity Wilson said this Budget has failed the local community in North Shore.
“Our community has been let down by Labor, with cuts to local projects, including cancelling the Beaches Link – a vital project for traffic congestion and road safety, cancelling Lavender Bay High Line – putting our harbour foreshore at risk of overdevelopment, cancelling the North Sydney Oval upgrade – failing to back the future of women’s sport, and cancelling work to address the significant impact of rail noise along the Waverton Wollstonecraft line,”
“It’s clear that NSW Labor haven’t changed, cutting key projects and infrastructure across the North Shore community and New South Wales,” Ms Wilson said.
“Fortunately, a number of major projects are already underway thanks to investment from the NSW Liberals, and were too far progressed to face Labor’s cuts, including upgrades to Mosman High, North Sydney Dem, and Neutral Bay Public Schools.”
Ms Wilson said that she would continue to strongly advocate on behalf of the local community in North Shore.
"I’ll continue to fight for our community. I am meeting with Ministers in the Minns Labor Government to advocate for a range of local projects that will benefit our community."
"I’ll keep working day in and day out to ensure that projects in our local area are not forgotten by this Government, and I’ll hold them to account on the issues that my community cares about."
What’s been cut and unfunded in the NSW Budget?
