As the weather heats up, we all know that there’s nothing better than to go for a swim to cool down! This summer it is important to ‘Stay Safe’ and make sure you keep an eye out for your family and friends, and learn to swim.

Whether you’re swimming at the beach, in a pool, a river or creek, there are a few simple things you can do to do it safely:

• Learn to swim – it’s a skill for life
• Avoid drugs and alcohol
• Always wear a life jacket
• Know your limitations; and
• Keep watch for your family and friends
