Innovative Mcmahons Point Creative Space

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—Speaker, I want to acknowledge Carolina Totterman for the opening of her Scandinavian inspired creative space. This is a grassroots community space where creatives are welcome to chat, donate or create. This Blues Point Road space relies on the community's goodwill, as the sewing machines, board games, and puzzles have all been donated. This space's success is a testament to the community's generosity, as many people have provided goods for others to enjoy. Carolina also founded this creative space as a demonstration of what sustainability looks like. She has chosen to lead by example, emphasising what she describes as "community reusery". While COVID-19 delayed the opening of this space, Carolina persevered and, after a successful opening in October, has created a space inspired by her heritage. It is always great to see people share their culture with others in unique and exciting ways, and I commend Carolina for her work. I again congratulate Carolina for opening this innovative, creative space, and I wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
