North Shore Christmas Card Competition 2021

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—Speaker I want to recognise the winners of the North Shore Christmas card competition for 2021. Every year, I organise a competition for primary school students from the schools within my electorate to design my community Christmas card. The winner has their artwork used as the cover, and three runner ups have their designs featured on the back. Each year it is always extremely hard to pick finalists as we receive so many great submissions. Congratulations to our winner Mia Rich from Queenwood for her design "It's Christmas" which depicted Santa in a Hawaiian shirt and sunnies with a surfboard at the beach. I absolutely loved Mia's design, especially the koala in the palm tree saying "G'day". Congratulations to the runners‑up who all submitted beautiful designs too, Summer Murray from Mosman Public School, Aurora Suttor from Blessed Sacrament School, and Jayden Zhou from Neutral Bay Public School. I would also like to acknowledge all schools who participated and thank all of the staff who assisted in organising the competition for the students. I look forward seeing what designs students come up with for 2022 later this year.
