Mosman High Wins Stage 5 Division of Linguafest 2021

—I want to recognise students of Mosman High who were announced as the winners of Linguafest 2021. Linguafest is a short film competition, similar to the Tropfest Film Festival, run by the Modern Language Teachers Association of NSW. There is a new theme and signature item each year which must be adhered to by competitors, the 2021 theme was 'a choice'. Sudenaz and Yusuf Kiran were the Stage 5 Winners and also took home the Most Original award for their Turkish short film 'The Road Not Taken'. Their inspiring film was accompanied by a rap song with their own original lyrics. Congratulations Sudenaz and Yusuf! What an amazing achievement, you should be so proud to have represented yourselves and your school in this competition. Thank you to the Principal of Mosman High, Susan Wyatt, Jane Jackson from the languages department, and the entire school community for supporting language students and Sudenaz and Yusuf's Linguafest campaign. What an excellent competition to bring to local students, I am sure Sudenaz and Yusuf will go on to do big things creatively. Good luck to language students who compete this year.
