Taronga Zoo COVID-19 Vaccination Program

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—I want to recognise and thank Taronga Zoo Sydney for their recent COVID-19 vaccination program. Taronga opened up onsite walk-in vaccination clinics over the weekend of the 26th and 27th of March and offered 2-for-1 entry passes to the zoo for people who got their jab. This was an excellent program to help entice people, especially families with children, to head out and get their vaccination. We know how important it is for people to be vaccinated with both primary and booster doses, whether they are young or old. Taronga offered Pfizer doses, supplied in partnership with the NSW Government and NSW Health, for both adults and children ensuring everyone could have the opportunity to get jabbed. This amazing initiative was also delivered at Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo. Thank you to the Taronga Conservation Society Australia CEO, Camron Kerr AO, and the entire Taronga team for delivering this program. I am glad the initiative was a success, I am sure many people were excited to see the new baby lion clubs in Sydney, and I look forward to seeing the great work you will do in 2022.
