1st Mosman Scouts

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore) (17:49:26):

After two years of COVID Zoom meetings, our scouts groups across New South Wales are getting back to what they love doing—being outdoors, learning bush survival skills and forging a strong sense of comradery. Last weekend I joined with the 1st Mosman Scouts for their annual presentation at the newly renovated Freeston Hall. I was able to support this renovation project through the Community Building Partnership, and I am glad to say the results have been transformative. Thanks to the work of 1st Mosman Scouts parent Alistair Hyslop and his building company, Cassins Constructions, Freeston Hall has a new kitchen, new electrical and plumbing work, new windows and has been freshly painted, inside and out. I say a special thank you to the committee, which is made up of Jenny Jackson, James Baird, Jad Kovse, Sarah Wolcott, Colleen Godsell, Paris Giannakis, and Tara Wienman, for its efforts in keeping the 1st Mosman Scouts going through COVID. I also thank all of the scouts who gave me such a special welcome. While the parents held the annual general meeting, I enjoyed seeing the scouts do what they do best—practising their fire skills and playing tug of war.
