Australian Rugby Sevens Claim Triple Crown

—Speaker, The Australian women's Rugby Sevens team has finished a stunning season with World Cup glory, adding the title to World Series and Commonwealth triumphs. It gives the Aussie women a clean sweep of trophies, having won four of the six tournaments in the World Series. Playing New Zealand in the World Cup in a quadrennial one-off championship in Cape Town, Australia held off a fast finishing kiwi side twenty four to twenty two, denying them a third straight title, winning the hearts of fans on and off the field. I extend my congratulations to Sharni Williams, Demi Hayes, Charlotte Caslick, Dominique Du Toit, Sariah Paki, Faith Nathan, Tia Hinds, Madison Higgins-Ashby, Maddison levi, Teagan Levi, Alysia Lefau-Fakaosilea, Lily Dick, and Bienne Terita. Congratulations on an absolutely stunning victory. You have done all our young female rugby players here in Australia proud by showing that the girls can do it just as well, if not better than the boys.
