Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore) (19:50:19):I congratulate Michelle Goszko from the UTS North Sydney District Cricket Club. At the recent Cricket NSW AGM earlier this month, Michellewas named the association's 228th life member, alongside former men'stest player and New South Wales captain Dirk Wellham.Michelle was recognised for her outstanding contributions to the game asa player, coach, and commentator, with Cricket NSW describing her as, "one of the modern-day pioneers of women's cricket in New South Wales." Sinceretiring from playing, Michelle has coached several pathways sides,mentoring talented young players, as well as being the inaugural Bears' director of women's cricket, overseeing the rapidly expanding women'sprogram.Unfortunately, last November Michelle suffered a stroke; however,sheand her family have received overwhelming support, including a GoFundMe donation campaign. It is clear that Michelle is held in high esteem here in New South Wales and acrossthe global cricket community. Her determination and spirit in herrecovery has been inspirational. Congratulations to Michelle, our new life member of Cricket NSW. I know she will continue to support our local Bears' cricketfor many years to come.
