Maria Kovacic and Jacqui Munro

I congratulate two of our great women Liberal leaders: Maria Kovacic, who was recently elected as President of the NSW Liberal Party, and Jacqui Munro, who was elected as President of the Liberal Women's Council. Maria is an accomplished managing director and business owner, with over 20 years of experience across the commercial, public and not-for-profit sectors. She founded and ran her own financial services business in western Sydney for over 16 years and has served on several boards and committees across the western Sydney community. A founder of Western Sydney Women, she was also elected president of both the State and Federal Liberal conference. She brings a wealth of experience to the role, and I wish her every success.

I also congratulate Jacqui Munro, who was elected as the NSW Liberal Women's Council president. Jacqui is following in my footsteps, as I was president of the women's council years ago. She has a background in media relations and public policy and research. She has been a candidate for our party for the Federal seat of Sydney. She worked on a national level as part of the media team for the Australian Marriage Equality campaign. I wish Jacqui and her entire team of the women's council executive all the best in the new roles. I know she will bring a vibrant attitude and passion to working with the women's council for the betterment of women in the Liberal Party.
