North Shore Christmas Card Competition

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore) (15:52:09):

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year. I recently had the pleasure of presiding over my North Shore Christmas card competition. As many members in this place would know, I adore Christmas and always look forward to the great joy my local primary school students bring to participating in this competition. Over the years there have been so many astounding artworks submitted. It is always challenging to pick the winner and runners-up, and this year has been no exception. The theme for this year's competition was "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas," and some fantastic entries were submitted depicting the student's interpretations. I extend a special congratulations to this year's winner, Madeline Lee, from Loreto Kirribilli. Madeline's artwork depicted her family enjoying the festivities of Christmas with our glorious Sydney Harbour featured in the background. I congratulate our three runners-up: Sena Hazelton from Middle Harbour Public School, Florence Le Thahn from Queenwood school, and Shayne Yang from Mosman Preparatory School. I thank all the students who entered the competition and all the staff who supported it for filling my office, myself and my team with some early Christmas cheer.
