Rnsh Orthopaedics Surgical Department Finalist for Golden Hip Award

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—Speaker, I want to recognise the fantastic Royal North Shore Hospital [RNSH] orthopaedics surgical department for being recently named as a finalist for the prestigious Golden Hip Award at Australia and New Zealand Hip Fracture Registry [ANZHFR] awards ceremony. This competitive award recognises the top performers in hip fracture care against the hip fracture clinical standards across Australia and New Zealand. RNSH ranked in the top ten hospitals throughout Australia for the second year. A well-deserved recognition and outstanding achievement. It is great to see that our local healthcare workers consistently provide some of the best healthcare in the country. I congratulate the entire RNSH orthopaedics surgical department on this achievement. I acknowledge RNSH Clinical Director Division of Medicine Terry Finnegan and RNSH orthopaedics Clinical Nurse Consultant Wassim El-Abed. They attended the event and received the award on behalf of the Department. I also want to thank the Chief Executive of the Northern Sydney Local Health District, Lee Gregory, for his work in supporting RNSH and its operations to deliver the best patient outcomes for our local community.
