50 Years of JP Service

—Speaker, I acknowledge and recognise Michael McEvoy and Maureen Rudd from my electorate of North Shore for achieving the incredible milestone of 50 years of service to our community as Justices of the Peace. To be a Justice of the Peace is to be a respected and trusted community member. From witnessing the signing of mortgage papers to affidavits, Justices of the Peace are involved in everyday and celebratory moments of our lives. Michael and Maureen have given many hours of time and service, and the work they have done over the past 50 years is a testament to their character, integrity and passion. I thank Michael and Maureen for their dedication and selflessness in continuing to provide essential services to residents of the North Shore and beyond for over 50 years. I congratulate them on reaching this milestone and hope that our community continues to see JPs in the future who are equally as dedicated.
