Marriage Equality

Today marks five years since Australia said yes to marriage equality. I acknowledge the work done in this place to recognise the five years that have passed. I thank and recognise the member for Sydney and those who came together in the Parliament this evening: Anna Brown, the CEO of Equality Australia, and also a number of my current and former parliamentary colleagues within the Liberal Party—Warren Entsch, Trent Zimmerman, Simon Birmingham, Tim Wilson and Trevor Evans. I put on record that people in this place and across this country look forward to supporting further initiatives to remove LGBTIQA+ discrimination from our laws and our society.
