Local Business Bloomingales Turns One

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—Speaker, I congratulate Bloomingales, a local small business in Kirribilli that recently celebrated its first birthday. Bloomingales is a retail emporium accentuated with flowers, plants, beautiful vases and pots, quality gifts, and, of course, provides delicious coffee and traditional jaffles for all to enjoy. Founder Venietta Slama wanted to create celebratory moments for local Kirribilli residents and visitors through window displays, events and retail promotions. She often hosts art exhibitions and other events to unite the local community. November is also NSW Small Business Month. Numerous activities to connect small businesses are hosted across the state, providing opportunities to learn new skills and ideas and collaborate and network with other small business owners and operators. My own Mosman Chamber of Commerce will be hosting an event free of charge thanks to the support of the NSW Government. I thank Tamara Keniry for her commitment to delivering events that support and nurture local businesses. A big shout-out to all our local businesses in North Shore. They are an integral part of our community, providing locals and visitors alike with goods and services and places for us to connect with family and friends.
