Local Author Annette Creswell

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—Speaker, I recognise local author and Neutral Bay resident Annette Creswell for her success as a novelist with the publication of her fourth book, The Dark Before The Dawn. The novel is a romantic old-world tale with a dark side. There is always a twist to keep us engaged. Annette is also a member of the Neutral Bay Community Centre, a much-loved and welcoming space where locals of all ages come together to connect, learn and grow. Having members like Annette to connect with provides inspiration and interest and an opportunity to share different views and perspectives. Something enjoyed by many who visit the centre. Members share interests such as Bridge, exercise classes, computer lessons and even jigsaw puzzles, a passion one of my staff knows only too well. I recognise Gill Melling, the centre coordinator and Board Members who contribute time and energy into making this a special place for members to connect and engage. Thank you to Sally Leung, Jenny Heath, Janice Bergheim, Maria Spinoulas, Yvonne Clark, and Tina Kazmer. Thanks, too, to Camelia Tobia and North Sydney Council for the work and energy committed to getting this wonderful centre up and running.
