I recognise Mosman Rowers, a local and much-loved community club that last night hosted a fundraising dinner event for the people of Ukraine. The evening aimed to spread awareness, show solidarity and support of Ukraine, which is still being devastated by war, and raise vital funding to help support the suffering Ukrainian community. The event featured distinguished guest speakers and local artists, including UNICEF Australia representatives, Ukrainian artist Leon Stejko and vocalist Julia Shved. Guests enjoyed a three-course Ukrainian-inspired dinner, art, music and conversation. Fifty dollars from each and every ticket and all funds raised from the evening will go directly to UNICEF. This money will provide families with emergency water, sanitation and hygiene kits, psychosocial support to those impacted by the conflict, supplies to meet the children's basic nutrition and medical needs, and essential education supplies. I thank Mosman Rowers, led by president Kathrina Doran, for hosting this fantastic initiative and our local businesses that supported this event. I especially thank my community, who are always ready to give their time, money and support to those less fortunate.
