Mosman Backing Molong

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—Last month, the town of Molong, 30 minutes from Orange, was heavily impacted by storms and flooding. When locals in my community heard about the devastation, particularly to their local sporting and recreation infrastructure, they wanted to give back. I want to give a shout out to the Mosman Junior Rugby Club, who have a friendship with Molong Magpies Junior Rugby through a number of rugby tours, and donated $5,000 to help in their rebuilding efforts. They will need to replace things like their balls, bags and equipment, all the way up to their fields, sheds and canteen. Mosman Hockey has also contributed to the fundraising and has an historic connection to Molong. They're donated $1,000 to support them to rebuild their community sport facilities and have reached out to their network to help raise more funds. With Christmas just days away, retail store Betty and Lola in Mosman is also chipping in, with stores offering gift wrapping for a donation to Molong. Thank you to these and all others who are supporting those impacted by devastating disasters. As of today, their GoFundMe is just shy of $100,000 – let's get them to their goal.
