Brand New Experience – Nura Diya Australia Opens at Taronga Zoo

—I want to acknowledge and congratulate Taronga Zoo on opening its brand-new immersive Australian experience - Nura Diya Australia. The new habitat showcases Australia's most iconic animals, from Koalas and Dingoes to Wallabies and Emus. Nura Diya is from the Sydney First Language and means 'This Country'. These words were gifted to Taronga through ongoing relationships with First Nations Peoples. There is an array of incredible aboriginal artwork throughout the habitat and the 400m walking trail. The habitat pays homage to the amazing country we call home and the land on which we live. It was a privilege to join the Taronga team for the highly anticipated opening of Nura Diya, and I know they have all worked so hard to see the amazing new space come alive. I highly encourage everyone to go and see these unique native animals and the incredible artwork designed especially for the exhibit. Once again, I congratulate Taronga CEO Cameron Kerr, and his team for the successful opening of Nura Diya.
