Mary's House Mother's Day Fundraiser 2023

—I would like to congratulate Mary's House Services on their recent Mother's Day fundraiser that saw them raise over $12,245. Mary's House Services operates Mary's House Refuge which is a community funded refuge that accepts women and their children escaping domestic violence. They also run the Daisy Centre which is a non-residential domestic violence service that aims to reach as many women as possible and provide victim-survivors with the tools of empowerment to rebuild their lives. The significance of Mary's House and the work they undertake is the commitment of saying 'No' to domestic violence, protecting, reducing risk and saving lives. For mother's already doing it tough, Mother's Day can be particularly tough living lives affected by trauma of domestic violence. All funds raised are put towards women and their children part of Mary's house accessing the essential services. Mary's House ensures a safe environment, immediate support, food, shelter, clothing and developing tailored plan helping women move forward in line with their own needs and goals. I congratulate Mary's House on their fundraising efforts, all in aid to keep local women safe from domestic and family violence.
