Middle Harbour Yacht Club

I recognise the extraordinary efforts of eight young sailors from Middle Harbour Yacht Club who recently travelled to Lake Macquarie over the Labour Day long weekend. They were up against some fierce competition, taking part in a 50-strong Optimist division of the New South Wales Youth Championships. I particularly acknowledge Astrid Nixey, who finished top of the intermediate fleet, an extraordinary effort given the level of competition on display over the weekend. I also acknowledge the other sailors who competed over the weekend: Angus Griffin, Titouan Christodoulou-Le Gac, Tucker McKeon, Marcus Retboell, Marin Christodoulou-Le Gac, Annabel Griffin and Alana Harrison. I congratulate all the competitors from Middle Harbour Yacht Club on an outstanding effort competing in the New South Wales Youth Championships for sailing, and I look forward to seeing them all out on the water soon.
